Cubanacan, the leading tourism organization in Cuba, presented Transat A.T. Inc. with an award of excellence for its contribution to the development of tourism on this Caribbean island.
Of all of the international companies that offer packages to Cuba, Transat ranks first in hotel occupancy rates on this Caribbean island, occupying 35% of the available rooms.
“Cubanacan has thus confirmed that Transat is by far the leading international company with regard to the number of hotel rooms used by a single group to market vacation packages,” stated Jean-Marc Eustache, Chairman of the Board and President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat. “Every year, more than 75,000 Canadian and French tourists entrust us with their holiday travel to this sunshine destination, which is one of Transat’s most popular destinations,” he continued.
