Jean-Marc Eustache, Chairman of the Board and President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat A.T. Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Odette Thomas to the newly created position of Executive Vice-President, Retail Networks.
'Odette Thomas has a remarkable track record as well as an in-depth knowledge of the tourism industry, especially the travel agency sector. Her mandate as a member of Transat’s management team will be to pursue strategic development of the corporation’s travel agency networks in Canada and France alike,' states Mr. Eustache. Odette Thomas began her career in 1981 at Consultour/ Club Voyages. Ten years later, she became Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer. In 1997 she was named President and Chief Executive Officer of this network of nearly 200 travel agencies—a wholly owned subsidiary of Transat since April 2000 and a member of the Transat group of companies since 1988.
Starting in 1996, Ms. Thomas has also managed Euro Charter—a French network of 48 wholly owned agencies. The appointment is effective immediately. Concurrently, Odette Thomas will continue in her capacity as President and Chief Executive Officer of Consultour/ Club Voyages.
