Air Transat, the leading charter carrier in Canada, is pleased to announce the arrival of its first A310-300. Two other aircraft of the same series will join the fleet in March and April respectively. Between now and July 2002, Air Transat will take delivery of six Airbus A310-300s.
“Our program of fleet renewal that began in 1998, is progressing according to plan,” notes Denis Jacob, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Transat. “The Airbus A310-300 is a modern, cost-efficient aircraft; its integration will enable the company to continuously increase operational efficiency and offer its vacationers quality service at the best possible price,” he adds. The Airbus A310-300 is a long-range aircraft (9,600 km) able to provide non-stop service to all Air Transat destinations. The aircraft has 259 seats, 20 in Club Class and 239 in Economy Class.
