Mr. Jean-Marc Eustache, President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat A.T. Inc., has announced a reorganization of the management of certain operations in France. Effective April 7, the changes involve Look Voyages, Vacances Air Transat (France), and Star Airlines.
- Mr. Cédric Pastour, President and Chief Executive Officer of Star Airlines since it was founded in 1996, also General Manager of Look Voyages the past four years, will now focus his efforts entirely on the airline, where he will continue in his capacity as President and CEO.
- Mr. Jean-Marc Batta will take over general management of Look Voyages. A member of the Transat group for 15 years, Mr. Batta will be leaving the position of General Manager of Vacances Air Transat (France).
- Mr. Patrice Caradec will leave his current position of Assistant General Manager of Vacances Air Transat (France) to assume the position of General Manager of that organization. Mr. Caradec joined Vacances Air Transat (France) six years ago as marketing and sales director.
"Transat reacted quickly and efficiently to the events that marked our industry nearly 18 months ago, and the company considers that this new operational structure will enable us to better meet new challenges and seize new opportunities in the vacation travel market in France," stated Mr. Eustache.
He also noted the contribution of Cédric Pastour to Look Voyages over the past few years as well as the many projects under way at Star Airlines within the changed context of air travel in Europe.
Mr. Eustache also mentioned the substantial contribution of Jean-Marc Batta to Vacances Air Transat (France) since the company's founding, pointing to the motivating challenge of Mr. Batta's new duties. Finally, he noted that Mr. Caradec will bring a renewed energy to the development of Vacances Air Transat (France). The planned transition period will allow for the best possible coordination within each organization.
