Marlin Travel launches a brand new program called “Memory Trip”. This unique program allows travel consultants to visit, with a companion of their choice, destinations across the world and be provided with the necessary tools for sharing this experience with their current and potential clients during the trip and upon their return. The program includes, among other things, a pre-work before leaving, an on-location blog on which customers can follow the adventures of their travel consultants, an on-site training and a consumer presentation for the clients hosted by the returning travel consultant.
“Our core business goes beyond price searches and order taking; it’s all about skilled travel experts who can leverage their travel experiences and expertise and their ability to foster customer relationships using technology and personal interaction” commented Peter Ouellette, Vice-President, Marketing of the Marlin Travel group.
Up to now, three trips have taken place under this program: a 12-day trip to China that launched this distinctive Marlin Travel marketing culture; after China, the program revolved around a Holland America Line Alaska cruise where nearly 30 travel consultants where trained to market their experience to their local market. The incredible scenery and experiences were available in both French and English on www.memoriesofalaska2009.blogspot.com and www.souvenirsdalaska.blogspot.com. And, from June 7 to 14, 20 travel consultants had the chance to cruise the Mediterranean and to sail from Barcelona to Rome, Naples, Marseilles and Nice on the beautiful Voyager of the Seas. Visit the great memories of this cruise at www.memoriesofmed2009.blogspot.com/.
The Marlin Travel team is currently planning a yearly calendar of Memory Trip programs including Europe, Australia and Israel, among other exciting destinations.
