Handlex locks out its 400 ramp and cargo services employees
The company’s operations at Montréal–Trudeau and Pearson–Toronto airports will continue as normal
Montreal, February 15, 2011

Handlex, a Transat A.T. Inc. business unit that provides airport ground services, has locked out its 400 ramp and cargo services employees at Montreal and Toronto international airports following their rejection of the company’s latest offer for the renewal of the collective agreement and the union declaring a strike.

A contingency plan was implemented immediately to ensure that operations and services to all airlines served by Handlex, including Air Transat, will not be disrupted. As a result, all Air Transat flights, among others, are expected to operate normally.
