Beginning in the 2012–2013 season, the flagship products sold until now under the Merika Tours brand – the most popular tours to destinations in Canada and the United States – will become part of the offering of Transat Découvertes (in Quebec), a specialist in tours to every corner of the planet. In addition to its usual European, African, Latin American and Asian destinations, the Transat Découvertes brochure will now highlight North American packages.
“Transat Découvertes is giving itself more depth this way, with an enhanced offering for the traveller seeking a world-class, authentic experience,” explains Susie Deveault, General Manager of Transat Découvertes. “By integrating Merika Tours’ most popular products, we are harmonizing our marketing strategies, reducing our costs and increasing product visibility.”
No jobs will be affected by this change. Jonview Canada will continue to handle the contracting, costing and operational requirements for Transat Découvertes and all the teams that already represent Merika Tours will remain in place.
