Transat, one of the largest integrated tourism companies in the world and the leader in Canada’s holiday travel industry, is redefining its commission program for travel agencies by offering commission on fuel surcharge and service fees for Transat Holidays and Nolitours package bookings. Travel agents will now obtain more compensation on each package they sell.
As of September 1, 2012, travel agents booking Sun, Florida or Europe vacation packages for departures as of November 1, 2012 onwards will not only earn commission on the package base price, but on fuel surcharge and service fees as well. This new way of calculating commission represents a substantial increase in commissions paid to travel agencies. After redefining vacations with the addition of new Sun and Florida product line-ups designed to meet the needs of clients, Transat is reinventing itself once again by changing the way travel agencies earn commission.
“This is one more initiative that demonstrates Transat’s commitment to its travel agent partners,” says Denise Heffron, Vice President, National Sales & Commercial.
