Air Transat debuts its Winter Program with 26 South Destinations
• Resumption of direct flights from Montreal to Havana • New: R&R 18+ Collection with exclusive adult-only hotels • A total of 302 hotels, most of them 4.5 and 5 stars

MONTREAL, September 9, 2022 - Air Transat, named the world's best leisure airline in 2021 by Skytrax, is gradually launching its 2022-2023 winter program to the South, offering Canadian vacationers a wide selection of 26 dream destinations, including the Caribbean, the Pacific coast of Mexico, the Antilles, Latin America and Florida.

"We are pleased to kickstart the winter season with such a strong program. Continuously attuned to the needs of our clientele, we’ve noticed a significant interest in adult-only properties and in the beautiful city of Havana. We are therefore quite proud to present these two additions today. We've been at the heart of Canadian travellers’ vacation plans for almost 35 years now; it's a genuine honour for us to help them create unforgettable memories with their loved ones, or by themselves. Whether it's absolute relaxation, cultural discoveries, wild adventures, or even all three, I'm convinced that our program will fulfill every single one of their needs," says Joseph Adamo, Transat's Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

Back to Havana

Among the highlights of the 2022-2023 winter program, Air Transat will return to Havana after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Starting December 19, direct flights will be offered from Montreal three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Two trips in one: Duo packages to Cuba and Colombia

Air Transat offers the opportunity to experience a destination in two vastly different yet complementary ways thanks to its innovative Duo packages. Indeed, travellers can combine cultural immersion and beach relaxation in a single trip of seven days or more.

In Cuba, vacationers land directly in Havana to wander the colourful streets of the bustling Cuban capital before transferring to the white sandy beaches of Varadero for a few days prior to returning to Canada. In Colombia, travellers start their stay in the beautiful colonial city of Cartagena and end it on the heavenly island of Barú for a bit of rest and relaxation.

The advantages of Option Flex

Air Transat offers its customers two flexibility solutions with Option Flex.

With Option Flex Standard, travellers who booked South and Europe packages can cancel or change their travel dates, destination or hotel and obtain a travel credit up to 72 hours before departure for a fee of $89. Option Flex Extra allows them to cancel or change their travel dates, destination or hotel up to 24 hours before departure and receive a travel credit or refund for a fee of $149. In both cases, it is also possible to transfer the package to a friend or family member up to 30 days before departure.
