Montreal, July 2, 2015 — Air Transat is pleased to announce that it will increase service to Punta Cana this winter with the introduction of a new weekly flight from Windsor, Ontario on Mondays between December 21, 2015 and April 4, 2016.
Air Transat currently offers service to Punta Cana from 17 Canadian airports, including Toronto, London, Thunder Bay, Hamilton and Ottawa in Ontario, Montreal, Quebec City and Rouyn-Noranda in Quebec, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Regina in Western Canada and Halifax, Moncton and St. John’s in Atlantic Canada. The addition of Windsor makes it the 18th Canadian airport to offer the destination on the wings of Air Transat.
Known for its white-sand beaches, happening nightlife, water sports and entertainment, Punta Cana is one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean. Great for relaxation, water sports and entertainment, Transat offers 45 resorts in Punta Cana and a variety of excursions including an epic treasure hunt where travellers get to snorkel with stingrays, a horseback riding adventure at a ranch and a cruise along the Bavaro coast on a deluxe catamaran that doubles as a spa.
Travellers from the large Southwestern Ontario region can take advantage of Transat’s 2015-2016 Sun Promotion and save up to $900 per couple in Punta Cana when booking by September 30, 2015 for travel between December 18, 2015 and April 30, 2016. Thanks to its proximity to Detroit, Michigan, the new flight from Windsor is also a great opportunity for our American neighbours to take advantage of Transat’s direct service to Punta Cana.
