11th October, 2016: Air Transat, the UK’s leading leisure airline to Canada, has increased its capacity and range of connections from Birmingham to Canada for travel in 2017.
The airline, which next year celebrates 30 years of flying, operates a weekly direct service from Birmingham to Toronto between May and October. The airline is increasing capacity for 2017 on this key route with more frequent utilisation of the larger Airbus A330 aircraft, offering more seats and greater amenities for passengers, such as individual touch screens with over a hundred channels of entertainment on demand.
Thanks to Air Transat’s expanding connecting flights programme, travellers from Birmingham will be able to reach even more top destinations across Canada next year. Following a brief stop in Toronto, passengers from Birmingham can hop onto a choice of connecting flights to Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver, allowing greater access to experience different areas of Canada.
Commenting on the 2017 programme, Lesley Kane, Sales Director UK & Ireland, Air Transat, said: “Canada is an increasingly popular destination for summer holidays and we’re adapting our flight programme from Birmingham to reflect this.”
“Our customers are looking to travel when they want with the utmost convenience and to incorporate multiple destinations into their holiday experience. Our 2017 programme caters to that demand for more choice and flexibility of travel.”
