Air Transat launches 2017 program with increased Canada connections from Manchester
Greater flexibility from Manchester to destinations across Canada for 2017

11th October, 2016: Air Transat, the UK’s leading leisure airline to Canada, has increased its number of connections from Manchester to Canada for travel in 2017.

The airline, which next year celebrates 30 years of flying, operates direct year-round services from Manchester to Toronto, and Vancouver between May and October. In 2017, the airline will operate five weekly flights to Toronto and three services per week to Vancouver.

Capacity on the key route from Manchester to Toronto is increasing with more utilisation of the larger Airbus A330 aircraft, which offer greater amenities for passengers including individual touch screens with over a hundred channels of entertainment on demand.

Thanks to Air Transat’s expanding connecting flights programme, there is also increased choice for travel next summer, allowing customers to reach more top destinations across Canada.

Passengers from Manchester will have frequent access to Montreal and Calgary with five services to Montreal via Toronto each week and three weekly flights to Calgary via Toronto or Vancouver. Travellers from the North West will also benefit from more flexibility with three additional flights to Vancouver via Toronto, building on the direct services.

Commenting on the 2017 programme, Lesley Kane, Sales Director UK & Ireland, Air Transat, said: “Canada is an increasingly popular destination for summer holidays and we’re enhancing our flight programme from Manchester to reflect this.”

“Our customers are looking to travel when they want with the utmost convenience and to incorporate multiple destinations into their holiday experience. Our 2017 programme caters for that demand with more choice and flexibility of travel.”
