Montreal, September 8, 2016 – Air Transat is proud to be associated with the Grands Prix Cyclistes of Quebec City and Montreal for the seventh year in a row as the official carrier. The event brings together the world’s best teams and leading cyclists. For the 2016 edition, the races will be held on September 9 in Quebec City and on September 11 in Montreal.
During this international competition showcasing Quebec as a high-calibre and unique destination for sporting events in North America, Air Transat will transport more than 300 participants and their entourage, as well as their equipment.
This year, the airline will also offer families in attendance a new dedicated play area for children.
Of particular interest to cyclists: Air Transat passengers can travel with their bicycle for a fee of just $30 per flight segment.
It is worth noting that Air Transat was voted Best North American Leisure Airline at the Skytrax annual World Airline Awards in July 2016, in addition to placing third among the top customer-oriented airlines, after Porter and KLM, according to a recent survey carried out by Protégez-Vous among Quebec consumers.
