Montreal, June 18, 2014 – Air Transat celebrated the inauguration of its first Toronto-Prague flight at Toronto-Pearson Airport on the evening of June 17. To mark the occasion, the check-in area was decorated to showcase the architecture of the Czech capital, and a team of entertainers dressed in traditional garb was brought in to add a dash of flavour.
Also present were Des Ryan, Air Transat’s Vice-President, Inflight Service and Catering, Vladimir Ruml, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Canada, and Ian Woods, Director of Aviation Business Development, GTAA, who wished our first passengers to the City of a Thousand Spires a great flight.
From June 17 to October 7, 2014, Air Transat will offer flights departing from Toronto and Montreal to Prague every Tuesday. Air Transat now flies to 29 European destinations, and is the first Canadian airline to offer direct flights to the Czech capital.
