Montreal, June 13, 2017 — Air Transat, Canada’s leading holiday travel airline, has placed 5th in the AirHelp world airlines ranking for the winter of 2016-2017. The carrier maintains the spot it earned in the fall 2016 ranking, which was a gain of 10 positions above its showing for the summer of 2016. The AirHelp ranking evaluates some 85 airlines worldwide on their on-time performance, service quality and efficiency of their customer service.
“We are proud to be among the airlines at the top of this ranking,” said Air Transat President Jean-François Lemay. “For 30 years, we have worked hard to provide our customers on both sides of the Atlantic with a quality travel experience designed especially for vacationers.”
Air Transat made the AirHelp list for the first time in summer 2016. It was ranked 70th at the time but moved up to 15th after the organization corrected an erroneous on-time performance score.
