Montreal, November 14, 2017 — Transat A.T. Inc., one of the largest integrated tourism companies in the world and Canada's holiday travel leader, today officially celebrates the 30th anniversary of its inaugural flight. In a sense, this memorable day also marks the culmination of the many activities organized during the past year to thank the Company’s customers and partners, and particularly travel consultants, who are key links in the relationship of trust between Transat and travellers.
Transat’s relationship with its retail partners dates back to the inception of the organization and its respect and appreciation for the retail community remains at the heart of the company today. And this feeling is mutual: the recognition that Transat receives from travel agents never wanes, year-in and year-out. Most recently Transat was recognized at the Univers Gala in Quebec, organized by l’Association des Agents de Voyage du Québec, taking home top honours in four categories: airline, tour operator, travel agency and travel consultant.
“These tributes, which come to us directly from travel agents, who are partners with whom we maintain daily connections, reflect on the entire Transat team and we feel privileged,” says Denise Heffron, Vice-President, National Sales and Commercial, Transat Tours Canada. “Collaboration with these key travel industry partners is essential, and we are always pleased to share these successes with them. Our retail partners have been with us every step of the way on our 30 year journey and for that we are truly thankful.”
In addition, throughout this past year Transat has tangibly thanked these travel consultants with, among other things, its Surprise Dates contest, during which it gave away 30 trips to agents across Canada.
