Air Transat adds Santo Domingo out of Toronto to its selection of destinations

Montreal, September 7, 2016 — Air Transat is pleased to announce that it is enhancing its offering to Dominican Republic with a new weekly flight from Toronto to Santo Domingo. The only airline offering direct flights to this destination, Air Transat will fly there on Sundays beginning December 18, 2016.

A unique colonial city in the Caribbean, Santo Domingo is a new gateway to the Dominican Republic, offering travellers access to the capital city’s superb beaches, located only a few kilometres by road from the downtown core, and the country’s rich history.

Air Transat’s flight program for the winter of 2016-2017 offers travellers 34 sun destinations, including  six in the Dominican Republic, and departures from 22 Canadian cities, in addition to a diverse range of European destinations that are also Canadian favourites during the winter.

It is worth noting that Air Transat was voted Best North American Leisure Airline at the Skytrax annual World Airline Awards in July 2016, in addition to placing third among the top customer-oriented airlines, after Porter and KLM, according to a recent survey carried out by Protégez-Vous among Quebec consumers.
